The Synergy Days event, one of the most important conferences connecting the digital innovators of the European agri-food sector, held on 21–22 October 2025 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and proved to be highly engaging. The event addressed key topics in the agrifood sector, with innovation and sustainability taking center stage. The discussions highlighted the transformative potential of digital technologies in shaping the industry’s future.

GreenFit Project Participation

The GreenFit Project was represented at the event by Francesco Parigi and Dana Bonaldi from Politecnico di Milano. Francesco actively participated in several workshops, presenting the project’s key objectives, its main challenges, and its overarching vision for advancing digital adoption and sustainability in the agrifood sector.

Particular interest was shown in our analysis of adoption barriers and in the development of the Digital Agricultural Observatory tool. Many participants highlighted the importance of providing accurate data on the uptake of digital solutions, which is exactly what GreenFit aims to do.

Conclusion

Synergy Days offered an invaluable platform to engage with key stakeholders including EU policymakers, researchers, SMEs, digital innovation hubs, and agri-tech pioneers, explore innovative technologies, and share insights on the future of the agrifood sector. It was an excellent opportunity for GreenFit to introduce its work, connect with the community, and gather insights that will help shape the project’s development.
