Pilot Countries
The GreenFit Project brings together seven pilot countries across Europe and one global site to test and showcase innovative green technologies in real farming environments. Each pilot site represents a unique mix of agricultural, environmental, and socio-economic conditions, ensuring that our solutions are effective and adaptable across diverse rural contexts.
Through these pilots, farmers and local stakeholders actively participate in hands-on demonstrations, training, and feedback activities. This close collaboration allows GreenFit technologies to be tested, refined, and tailored to real-world needs, creating a continuous learning and improvement process.

Empowering Farmers and Promoting Sustainable Growth in Serbia
The Arilje region, home to raspberries with Serbia’s Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), represents one of the country’s most important hubs of premium fruit production. Within this territory, an association of six leading cold storages and around 150 primary producers works together to uphold the highest standards in food safety and quality, ensuring that Ariljska malina reaches markets across Europe, the USA, the UAE, and beyond. As Serbia stands among the world’s top three exporters of raspberries, with nearly 30% of national exports originating from Arilje, this collective plays a vital role in coordinating PDO protection and certification, as well as conducting essential internal controls.

Empowering Farmers and Promoting Sustainable Growth in Greece
Greece’s agricultural sector is strengthened by a growing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and strong collaboration among farmers cooperatives, advisors from public and private sector, researchers, agronomists and tech experts. The GreenFit pilot builds on this momentum by engaging with diverse farming communities across the country, supported by initiatives such as AUA’s pilot farm and living lab in Attica, where green technologies, from smart irrigation to drone-based crop monitoring, are tested and demonstrated under real farming conditions. Digital tools like bSpoke’s FMIS, already used by more than 5,000 farmers cultivating cereals, cotton, maize, legumes, and fruit trees, help optimise production and resource management while promoting environmentally responsible practices.

Empowering Farmers and Promoting Sustainable Growth in Global
The World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO), representing over 80 farmers’ organisations across 55 countries and six regional groups (Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, Latin America, and North America), plays a central role in advancing a farmer-driven vision of sustainable agricultural development. Through its extensive network and evidence-based guidance, WFO works to strengthen the economic viability of farming, improve rural livelihoods, and ensure that farmers’ priorities are heard in international decision-making.
